On the morning of October 19th, 2018, New Energy Vehicle Technology Development Seminar was held at NIO GmbH. The members attending the conference included alliance members, representatives of well-known companies in the automotive industry, and Chinese-funded research companies that have great interest in joining the alliance. The meeting aroused the strong interest of all conventioneers to join the alliance. At the same time, the alliance aims to build a bridge for the members of the alliance to explore the convergence of the research areas of each member with the new energy vehicle field. In the end, the meeting hope that all members could brainstorm and create more sparks in future seminars and broaden the boundaries of the “new energy vehicle” research field, and hope that the members of the alliance can exchange and cooperate in depth to meet the challenges and opportunities brought by the Joint Intention Statement.
On the afternoon of October 19th, 2018, a working conference within the alliance was held. Alliance members and Chinese-funded research enterprises that voluntarily joined the alliance, such as China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., Contemporary Amperex Technology GmbH, LiangDao Germany, DEING Technologie GmbH, LyDAR Tech Co., Ltd. and CASICloud (Germany) Co., Ltd. attended the conference. The minister counselor of science and technology department in Chinese embassy in Germany, Mr. Yin pointed out at the meeting that the alliance as a new and unique model should play a relevant role in promoting the development and advancement of the alliance. And the alliance itself needs to develop to a new level. This requires the common efforts of all alliance members. The purpose is to make the alliance grow faster and even more independent, ultimately create greater benefits. In addition, all the delegates spoke at the meeting to discuss the future development direction of the alliance together and put forward their own ideas to contribute to the continuous development and growth of the alliance.
On July 8th, 2018, the CFEID was officially registered as an association with legal entity in Germany. Mr. Wang Zhigang, Minister of Science and Technology of China, officially unveiled the alliance and held in-depth discussions with the members of the alliance. Participants expressed their experience in reporting to R&D and innovation in Germany with their respective experiences. They expressed their willingness to play their own advantages and led German companies, universities, research institutes and China to deepen cooperation in relevant scientific and technological innovation fields, created the new model of cooperation “cooperative R&D, joint production and global promotion.” and gave suggestions on how overseas Chinese companies can participate in China’s international scientific and technological innovation cooperation. The participating institutions involved German advanced technology fields such as new energy, intelligent manufacturing, semiconductor lighting, and engineering machinery.
The annual summary meeting was held on October 18th, 2017. The members of the alliance who attended the meeting carefully studied the report of president Xi Jinping’s “Nineteenth National Congress”, reviewed and summarized the development of the Alliance in 2017, and deliberated and determined the key work in 2018. The chairman of the alliance, the director of the State Grid’s European Office and the dean of the European Research Institute, Professor Lei Xianzhang, reviewed and summarized the work of the alliance on the frontier technology exchange platform and the creation of a high-tech incubation platform in the past year. They were awarded the “Patent Innovation Award” by the State Grid GEIRI Europe, the “International Cooperation Innovation Award” by the Rail Transit Research and Development Center, the “Product Design Innovation Award” by Sengled, the “Green Energy Innovation Award” by the Tenth Wind Farm, “the Best Investment and Innovation Award” of Xu Gong Europe and Mr. Wang Jinghua’s “Special Contribution Award”. The members and individuals of the Innovation Alliance were fully affirmed. After exchanging their respective innovations, the participating members said that the party’s “Nineteenth National Congress” pointed out the direction for the development of the alliance. The German Chinese-funded enterprises should also be able to make greater contributions to promote Sino-German joint innovation, help international advanced technologies into China and serve domestic talents.
